Position Summary:
 
  • Provides support to the College’s students, faculty, and staff by responding to help desk requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintains and repairs computers and other peripherals such as laptop encryption.
  • Investigates and resolves problems in hardware and software.
  • Configures new and reconfigures systems and installs software including VPN setup.
  • Troubleshoots Help Desk requests.
  • Troubleshoots student computer problems beyond the scope of the faculty.
  • Maintains IT documentation and records.
  • Installs, programs, and troubleshoots instructional delivery equipment in classrooms and labs.  Coordinates maintenance schedule for all media equipment, performs minor repairs or arranges for service from outside sources.
  • Provides setup and training for media equipment.
  • Performs inventory management of all IT related equipment, which includes the recycling process of equipment.
  • Assists the Academic Service Center with remote tests.
  • Performs duties related to the importing of data from WENS system.
  • Performs duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Six months to one year of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Ability to utilize computer and various software applications.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others such as students, faculty, and staff.
